This role is responsible for leading and developing medical communication and education strategies, ensuring all activities are scientifically accurate, balanced, and compliant with corporate policies. This role is not a people manager role, you will be an individual contributor to the team.

Office based role in our Teva Madrid offices.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Identify Medical Education Opportunities: Assess external learning needs and existing educational offerings to inform a balanced, relevant, and high-quality medical education strategy and programs. 
  • Lead Cross-Functional Medical Communication/Education Planning Efforts: Direct cross-functional planning efforts for medical communication and education, ensuring effective collaboration with internal and external teams. 
  • Ensure Delivery of High-Quality Medical Communication Resources: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scientifically accurate, and balanced medical communication resources, including scientific platforms, lexicons, FAQs/trainings, and disease backgrounders, in accordance with established timelines, compliance guidelines/policies, and budgets. 
  • Design and Develop Educational Content: Design and develop educational content in collaboration with internal partners and external healthcare expert professionals for live education programs, congress symposia, online/digital education, multi & omnichannel healthcare professional education, field medical tools, slide decks, and medical booth exhibits. 
  • Measurement & Tracking: Establish and standardize measurements/KPIs to support consistent tracking of all education activities and allow for continuous improvement of medical education. 
  • Partnership and Alliance Management: Work closely with medical therapeutic area leads and cross-functional teams to identify, engage, and manage the implementation of medical education activities. 
  • Compliance: Ensure that medical education programs are fully compliant with corporate standards and relevant policies. 
  • External Representation: Represent the company at external events, congresses, and meetings with key opinion leaders and other healthcare professionals. 

Your experience and qualifications

Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience in medical affairs and customer-facing positions. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate clearly and succinctly within the organization and develop credibility in a network that spans a wide variety of functional components. 
  • Strong business acumen and deep understanding of business fundamentals with the ability to maintain a holistic view of launch readiness. 
  • Experience in medical content development. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex medical information into clear and compelling content. 
  • Proven ability to work across functions. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team-oriented environment. 
  • Knowledge of adult education principles and instructional design preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. 
  • Ability to critically analyze, interpret, and communicate complex medical/scientific data. 
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to oversee associated budgets. 
  • Must be independent, multitasking, organized, and able to act as a leader in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Knowledge of adult education principles and instructional design preferred.
