Accountant

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Senior Finance Manager, the Accountant is responsible for the accounting in the Netherlands, including Consolidation and France, as well as assisting the Finance Director with all Finance-related duties. This position is also responsible for filing and performing a wide range of clerical duties involved in support of Finance and Operations department.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for all tasks involved in the General Accounting of our company in The Netherlands and France.
2. Consolidation at NL level of all PELI EMEA companies. Deal with consultants and auditors related to this task.
3. Responsible of the accounting of a third company in the group (TBD).
4. Check supplier invoices.
5. Accounting entries.
6. Bank Reconciliations.
7. A/P aging & payment procedures.
8. Interact with service providers to ensure efficient operations.
9. Deal with all general consultants related advisors for CIT, VAT, INTRASTAT, etc.
10. Performs various clerical tasks such as: filing, posting, tabulating and typing.
11. May be called on to communicate with customers regarding order status, stock product information, etc.
12. Maintains records of customer contacts and response and documents request for action.
13. Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

JOBREQUIREMENTS

• University degree in accounting with at least 5 years’ working experience
• Verbal and written fluency in English and French are required, with skills in Dutch a benefit.
• Must be IT literate and able towork with Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word,) and SAP and type with good speed and accuracy.
• Must have the ability to file and organize documents in an orderly fashion.
• Must have an enthusiastic personality and be able to communicate with consultants in a cheerful and helpful manner.
