Maintenance Control Advisor (H-60) – 17750

Description:
Provide a single point of contact for maintenance issues and coordination with flight operations department to support our aviation maintenance functions worldwide.
What you will be responsible for:
- Coordinate with the flight crew in order to determine aircraft status and be responsible for making arrangements to return the aircraft to service.
- Coordinate with squadron customers to ensure long lead time items are placed on order to achieve required depot turnaround time.
- Coordinate maintenance events with flight operations personnel and ensure that maintenance is performed within the hourly, calendar dates, etc with minimal interference to scheduled missions meeting daily flight schedule requirements.
- Requisition and assist with the pre-positioning of parts for scheduled maintenance.
- Assist with Tech Log and data entry as needed.
- Advise QA of any MRR/SDR/MISR events, NTSB reportable events.
- Advise the customer on releasing aircraft, safe for flight.
- Review aircraft discrepancy books for recommending aircraft safe for flight.
- Meet established timeline goals for phase and special inspections.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure mission success.
Qualifications
What you will need to be successful in this role:
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least 8 years of maintenance control experience controlling daily aircraft maintenance for Naval rotary wing operations.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft office products.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD common access card.
- Ability to qualify to release aircraft for flight.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 30 pounds to shoulder height.
- Must be able to lift and carry parts, tooling, and other awkward items sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs, including walking up and down stairs, aircraft maintenance stands, and platforms
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday
