Introducing smoke-free products shifts the focus of our entire business. We’re fast moving from a B2B to a B2C model – and our newly created Customer Centric Organization (CCO) team is driving that commercial transformation. Their role is to understand customer conversion journeys in different international markets, then to find the best ways to connect with smokers and convince them to switch to reduced-risk products.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Planning Manager’s main goal is to ensure timely deployment and tracking of key RGM initiatives such as portfolio extensions, MultiCategory market expansions, channel & consumer activation initiatives and retail and visibility development projects, in close collaboration with regional B2B teams and central marketing functions. This is achieved through:
- Conduct business performance assessment as well as other internal and external factors (consumer, competition, channels and industry) to identify volume, Share of Market (SoM) and revenue growth opportunities.
- Proposing and aggregating portfolio initiatives proposed by customer development and central category teams and supporting in the validation and consolidation as part of an integrated regional portfolio plan for the Business Unit (BU) based on the overall annual volume, SoM and profitability objectives.
- Working together with Customer Development and B2C teams to create a calendar of Commercial Initiatives for the BU in line with PMI Global Travel Retail’s (Duty Free) global commercial calendar.
- Training BU teams on project management methodologies to ensure projects are managed according to project management principles and practices. Ensuring proper use of project management tools and methodologies.
- Monitor business investments of the BU and ensure timely follow-up of budget spending discipline.
Required Skills:
- At least 6 years of combined experience in Business Development and Commercial roles in a PMI affiliate, consulting or FMCG multinational company
- Good business acumen, strategic thinking, financial savvy, project management are key.
- Solid understanding of key marketing and commercial competencies like activity resource planning, and portfolio/product knowledge.
- Project Management is a key competency.
- Fluent English, Spanish is desirable.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft office and reporting tools
