About the location:

Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor, perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and surrounded by panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the stunning landscape, first opened its doors in August 2024 following an extensive restoration and renovation of the historic property, originally inaugurated in 1929 on a vast private estate. After its successful debut, the resort will reopen to guests in March 2025, reaffirming its status as a unique destination of luxury and elegance on the island.

About the role

As a Commis Cook, you will support the culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences by assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. This entry-level role is ideal for passionate individuals looking to build their culinary career in a refined and fast-paced environment. Under the guidance of senior chefs, you will gain hands-on experience, develop your technical skills, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen..

What you will do

  • Prepare food items of consistent quality according to guest orders following recipe, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including, food processor, mixer, oven
  • Maintain a clean and efficient station
  • Strong knowledge of health codes and full understanding of all knife cuts •Label and date all food containers and rotates as per policies
  • Determines necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up
  • Returns all food items not used to designated storage areas
  • Manage and prioritize tasks by shift.

What you bring

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen or formal culinary training, ideally gained in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment.
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and genuine eagerness to grow and learn within a dynamic culinary team.
  • Ability to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure, while consistently delivering dishes to a high standard.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to consistency in food preparation and presentation.
  • A team player who collaborates well with colleagues and provides reliable support to senior chefs.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.

Schedule & Hours:

  • Seasonal contract, full Time, 40 hours per week, with consecutive and rotating shifts (including early mornings, days, evenings and weekends).
