The Global Portfolio and Project Management Organization (GPPM) is central to delivering AstraZeneca’s bold ambition by advancing our pipeline. Within GPPM, the Portfolio and Pipeline Operations (PPO) Team is responsible for ensuring our Product to Patient (P2P) governance pathway, Global Product Team (GPT) operating model, and related processes are continuously optimized to support a rapidly evolving organization.
We are seeking a strategic and experienced change management professional to lead the enhancement of our P2P operating model—ensuring Global Product Teams have a clear, efficient path to governance from CDID through COMMID.
This role requires strong cross-functional leadership skills to simplify, clarify, and integrate new ways of working across diverse teams. You will lead, influence and/or support change initiatives impacting GPPM, collaborating with senior stakeholders and project teams. You can expect a team-oriented, challenging and fast-paced environment that requires a solid foundation in change management, project management, problem solving and agility. The position reports to the Senior Director, Pipeline Governance and Operating Model on the PPO team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive P2P Model Optimization: Lead initiatives to optimize the Product to Patient pathway by identifying opportunities to break down silos and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of advisory and governance interactions
- Change Management Consulting: Act as an expert advisor to change teams, ensuring clarity and consistent interpretation of governance and GPT processes and effectively communicating the implications of any proposed change
- Digital Transformation and Innovation: Champion the adoption of digital tools, analytics, and emerging technologies to help streamline governance and GPT operations
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities and implement improvements to our Governance and GPT processes that reflect evolving ways of working across AstraZeneca
- Best Practice Sharing and Capability Building: Promote the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across teams
- Content Management: Ensure governance and GPT resources reflect the current organizational structure and ways of working
- Initiative Tracking: Maintain up-to-date summaries and status reporting of major change initiatives within PPO and those impacting GPPM
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with global project teams or within a large, global organization
- Proven ability to influence and communicate with senior leaders, including delivering presentations
- Solid foundation in change management principles
- Familiarity with drug development and pipeline governance at AstraZeneca
