What will you do
We’re looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our dynamic and collaborative team. In this pivotal role, you’ll support the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and develop robust supply plans that align with our strategic goals—driving sales growth, optimising inventory, and enhancing operational excellence.
This is a full-time, onsite role based at our Sunshine and Derrimut manufacturing facilities, reporting to the Sales & Operations Planning Manager. Your approachable nature and strong relationship-building skills will be key as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan for our Sunshine, Derrimut, and Wynyard sites. You’ll provide data-driven insights, support scenario planning, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supply and production efficiency.
- Optimise the manufacturing schedule to reduce waste (Downtime, changeovers and scrap) while meeting demand requirements
- Facilitate and lead Site Supply review meetings as part of the Vinidex IBP process
- Partner with operations to prepare and issue the manufacturing schedule to optimise production efficiency, space constraints and customer demand
- Proactively develop corrective action(s) to address supply and demand variances
- SAP data steward for material master for manufactured products for fields pertaining to but not limited to planning parameters, item attributes, BOM and routings
About you
- Seasoned experience in supply/production planning or scheduling within the manufacturing industry (Plastics, FMCG or high-speed manufacturing with complex process’ – highly considered)
- Technically savvy with excellent excel computer skills and proficient with ERP systems (SAP advantageous).
- APIC or Oliver Wright certification is desirable but not mandatory
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders including customers, and influence and negotiate to get the best outcome.
- Demonstrated collaborative style who is positive and enjoys trouble shooting to find the best solution.
- Excellent time management and coordination skills with a sense of urgency, results focused to meet daily production KPI’s and targets, with high attention to detail and analytical mindset
- You have a can-do attitude, are flexible, adaptable and want to jump onboard to help us continue to grow our manufacturing capability
