We are looking for an experienced individual in the GCO (Global Clinical Operations) IT space to lead the end-to-end delivery of solutions that redefine how Novartis operates. As a Senior Specialist, DDIT Development GCO Business Analyst, you will drive the technology roadmap for GCO, enabling decision-making that directly impacts the success of Novartis through more effective product roadmaps, market analysis, and evaluation for acquisitions.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with various user communities in GCO to identify high-priority subject areas, develop rationale, and perform scoping assessments to determine the feasibility of projects
  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders to understand dependencies on business processes and develop clear end-to-end business process flows to ensure specifications strategically fit
  • Highlight and identify gaps in existing functionality, review requirements with stakeholders, and develop clear and comprehensive requirement specifications to estimate cost, time, and resources for deploying solutions
  • Liaise with the service development team to suggest high-level functional solutions, ensure consistency and traceability between user requirements, functional specifications, and testing & validation
  • Support validation and testing to ensure adherence to security and compliance policies, perform change impact assessments, and formulate compliant approaches to development and deployment of changes
  • Drive change management and uptake of emerging tools and ways of working

Essential Requirements:

  • University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, Life Sciences, or similar
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the Pharma or IT industry
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience as a business analyst, process expert, or business IT lead superuser
  • Expert understanding of business process analysis & design and system architecture concepts
  • Ability to solve complex business process/information challenges
  • Proficient skills in global teams, collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, working in a matrix environment, and conflict resolution
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge of CSV lifecycle and experience as a Product Owner for platforms or large complex solutions
  • Exposure to digital innovation projects and experience in data strategy, data science, or data standardization
